Direct Mail Marketing Specialist Job Summary:

We are seeking a Direct Mail Marketing Specialist to work on a contract basis to support an industry leading client in Germantown, MD. This role will be full-time and fully remote. We are seeking a highly organized individual with a strong attention to detail, to drive multiple direct response marketing programs in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. As a Direct Mail Marketing Specialist, you will partner with stakeholders to design direct response campaigns and implement tests as well as optimizations to make performance improvements and increase ROI. You will also be responsible for the development and execution of multiple simultaneous campaigns to drive customer acquisition. Experience with direct response marketing to the Consumer audience (B2C) is desired. Strong project management skills and detail-oriented focus is required.

Direct Mail Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Marketing team to plan and execute targeted direct response marketing campaigns (Direct Mail, other tactics).
  • Manage direct mail marketing budget, requisitions, and invoice processes.
  • Drive the creative review and print process (print proof review, imaging and insertion signoffs).
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to identify campaign trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
  • Review campaign materials to meet established branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the marketing teams, agencies and other partners to set strategies, data collection and reporting.

Direct Mail Marketing Specialist Qualifications:
  • BA or BS in marketing or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience managing B2C direct-response marketing programs, with specific experience driving campaigns.
  • Highly creative with experience marketing to consumer target audiences and devising acquisition campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Very solid knowledge of direct mail design best practices and creative brief writing.
  • Strong project management experience. Highly organized individual with the capability to simultaneously juggle multiple projects, tight timelines and various stakeholders.
  • A self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong print production experience (color, proofing, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively provide creative direction and manage creative development, maintaining good balance of strategic vision and tactical implementation.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience driving creative direct mail A/B and multivariate tests.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience maintaining strong collaborative working relationships with cross functional teams.
