The Program Manager will manage Child Passenger Safety- (CPS) related programs as the coalition liaison for program and grant management. S/he will be the primary contact for stakeholders such as coalition coordinators, lead agencies, GM dealerships and plants. Provides field management for inspection stations and oversight for CPS-related projects in the Program Management Tool. Remote location eligible.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Work Experience
5 -7 years of related of work experience in public health, injury prevention or program implementation fields required, with progressively responsible program management experience. Demonstrated ability to manage a program. Ability to effectively communicate at multiple management and staff levels. Demonstrated team leadership. Progressive child passenger safety experience required (Required)

Manage Child Passenger Safety (CPS) -Related Program Activities
1. Develop systems, reports and other tools to strengthen coalitions activity with Child Passenger Safety (CPS) -related programs.
2. Manage coalition CPS activity nationally. Ensure grant compliance.
3. Work with Network Department to assess and evaluate current CPS efforts.
4. Manage national events and target specific activity required by sponsor.
5. Promote quality, consistency and growth among coalitions.

Serve as Primary Liaison Between Sponsors, Local and National Partners
1. Develop initiatives to engage additional sponsors to enhance program efforts.
2. Participate in statewide and national conferences as an observer and presenter.
3. Manage distribution of national CPS messages.
4. Establish and manage tools to promote dealership involvement in CPS-related programs.
5. Assist coalitions with managing protocols for communicating CPS information to the public.
6. Assist coalition with implementing national initiatives.

Oversee Inspection Stations in the Network:
1. Assist with fostering relationships with national and local organizations to enhance the inspection station initiative.
2. Manage and oversee coalition activity and inspection stations.
3. Develop trainings and other resources for coalitions to support and improve the inspection station initiative.
4. Work with the research team to develop and implement inspection station evaluation tools.
5. Monitor and oversee inspection station activity. Ensure evaluation and reporting is current and distributed to Senior Leadership and sponsors in a timely manner.

Manage Special Initiatives
1. Oversee coalition special events and initiatives.
2. Oversee partner and sponsor special activities, initiatives and events, as needed.
3. Oversee exhibit opportunities.
4. Build partnerships at the local and national level.
5. Serve as a CPS Advocate on behalf of coalitions and the external network.
