Executive Engineering Leader - Card Technology

Capital One Card Technology is seeking an Executive Engineering Leader to join our Card Technology Leadership team. Specific candidate competencies include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience managing technology at scale and through significant growth
  • Entrepreneurial and startup-mentality, balanced with experience continually improving existing systems
  • Ability to establish credibility with, as well as motivate and mentor, highly technical engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to employ judgment and experience to make rapid and complex decisions
  • Highly developed interpersonal, presentation, and communications skills (written and oral)
  • A management style that is collaborative, energetic, results-oriented, and innovative
  • Strong team builder and leader: well-honed recruiting and coaching skills with the ability and passion to create an inclusive environment


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 10 years of experience in software engineering
  • At least 7 years experience leading scaled technology organizations


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience building in a cloud environment
  • Experience leading in a modern, agile environment
