Temporary COVID POD Vaccination Staffing Coordinator

Overview

One of which is the Vaccination POD Staffing Coordinator - who will work to manage POD staff training, coordinating schedules, and working to maintain workforce retention .

The Opportunity - Examples of Duties

  • Coordinate, schedule, and document POD staff orientation and training
  • Create materials for staff orientation and training


  • Create staff schedules
  • Maintain staff database s : e nter new staff and accurately keep records of staff roles and hours
  • M anage or oversee POD worker sign-in/sign out process at PODs: Ensure all POD workers are signing in and out, train additional individuals to manage this process, compile and report on attendance to all stakeholders
  • Lia i se with City HR and the MRC Volunteer Coordinator
  • Retain staff through regular engagement activities


  • Prepare an d deliver professional quality reports on an as needed basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned


The Ideal Candidate

To be minimally qualified for this position all applicants must have an bachelor's degree; and at least one (1 ) year of relevant experience.

To be considered an ideal candidate, applicants must possess the above as well as: e xcellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written) ; p roficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to enter and manage data electronically in databases such as RedCap , and the ability to learn and use online systems ; h ighly organized and detail-oriented ; a bility to understand and carry out complex processes and tasks ; a bility to problem-solve independently ; w orks collaboratively with colleagues ; e xperience managing staff or volunteers .

Notes
*Please note that this is a 90 day temporary position with the possibility of an extension.

Hours:

36-40 hours per week. Must be flexible with hours: There m ay be a need to work as early as 7:15 or as late as 5:30. The ideal candidate is willing to regularly work weekends and additional hours when needed to complete tasks or work at vaccination events.

Location:

Primarily on site at the health department or at PODs , with telework possible pending probationary period.
