Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Human Resources Generalist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will:
• Support the day-to-day human resource functions, particularly in the areas of HR records management, compliance tracking and reporting, unemployment administration, benefits/leave administration and supporting the HR Business Partner and acting as a main point of contact with addressing employee questions in these and other human resource areas.
• Work collaboratively with the HR Business Partner to improve the customer service level by assessing and refining processes and programs.
• Support leadership and staff by providing training related to Workday, Kronos and other applicable HR systems, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate new employee orientation and assists with the daily and administrative HR operations.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field
• Two to four years of HR experience
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
• Basic knowledge and understanding of HR practices and federal/state employment labor laws
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Skilled in using MS Office Suite
• Experience using an HRIS, preferably Workday
• Ability to present effectively to small groups
• Responsiveness to inquiries and concerns
• Administratively organized

Work Schedule:

Full-time days; Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Must be able to travel to other locations (Rockville, Gaithersburg, Silver Spring).
