The American Chemistry Council (ACC), a trade association representing the world’s leading chemical and plastics manufacturers, currently has an opportunity for a Coordinator to support several new self-funded sector groups. ACC represents its members on public policy issues; coordinates the industry’s research and testing programs; and administers Responsible Care®, the industry’s environment, health, safety and security performance improvement initiative.

This position is responsible for providing administrative, financial, and issue management support services to assigned groups managed by the Chemical Products and Technology (CPT) division.  The position may also support overall CPT operations. The position reports directly to a Senior Director, CPT.

Required qualifications include Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a science and/or public policy focus and at least three years of trade association, public policy and/or advocacy experience. Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision are a must. Knowledge of chemical or related industry preferred.

To learn more about us, visit our web site at www.americanchemistry.com.  ACC offers a salary commensurate with experience and excellent benefits.  If you meet the qualifications, please forward your resume and cover letter, including salary requirements, to H_R@americanchemistry.com.
