Dewberry is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Client Manager to assist in leading business development and project execution efforts for real estate and commercial and land development clients in Northern Virginia and the Washington Metropolitan Area. They will be responsible for helping drive Dewberry's project efforts and identifying and developing new business opportunities to maintain and further grow Dewberry's established presence within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the overall business development strategy, maintain key relationships and lead pursuits
  • Serve as the client manager for multiple clients across multiple jurisdictions
  • Serve as a project manager on select projects
  • Create and lead key client retention initiatives
  • Develop new strategic partnerships
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Participate in the appropriate professional, civic, community activities and organizations to promote Dewberry in the region.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Landscape Architecture or equivalent required
  • 15+ years of experience managing client relationships and projects
  • Relevant licensure required or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Established professional and social network across multiple jurisdictions in Northern Virginia and the Washington Metropolitan Area with members for the real estate, commercial and land development community
  • Prior background in the financing, planning, approval, development and/or construction of commercial projects within the region.
  • Worked previously with local government zoning officials and possesses a current understanding of the entitlement processes
  • Working relationships with state and local economic development agencies within the region.
  • Actively engaged in regional associations such as the NAIOP, NVBIA, Chambers of Commerce, etc.
  • Prior track record successfully winning and delivering large projects within region.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
