Job Details

Dewberry is looking for a strong Compensation Analyst to partner with the Compensation Manager in supporting the design, implementation, communication and administration of Dewberry's compensation programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of compensation, must be comfortable with having conversations with various levels of management and have the ability to prioritize their work in order to meet deadlines. There is a heavy focus on market pricing and working with recruiters and managers to ensure they understand the data.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the administration of:
    • PayFactors, our online survey tool, including continuously benchmarking jobs within the system
    • The salary survey participation process
    • Internal Recognition Programs (Service Anniversaries and Dewberry at Work program)
  • Work with managers, recruiters and HR managers on any compensation inquires
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly HR metrics and reporting, including ad hoc requests and reporting associated with the Strategic Plan and Board Report
  • Partner with the Compensation Manager on:
    • Full life cycle of merit increase cycles (including system administration)
    • Setting entry level rates and annual compression review
    • Annual Affirmative Action, EEO and VETs analysis and reporting
    • Maintaining job families and reviewing new job requests
    • Conducting FLSA reviews as needed
    • Review requests for new business card titles and exceptions
  • Support and lead compensation and HR related projects and perform other duties as needed


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years working experience in Compensation
  • Prior experience in compensation management, job evaluation, salary surveys and market pricing
  • The ability to have conversations to explain the data to those who are requesting it
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and use of vlookups and managing large data sets
  • Must be analytical in nature and have excellence critical thinking skills
  • Functional knowledge of employment laws and practices related to compensation programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems a plus
  • BS degree in human resources, business administration or equivalent experience a must
