The George B. Delaplaine Jr. School of Business at Hood College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor.  This position will report to the Chair of the School of Business and will be expected to teach, both at the undergraduate and MBA levels, a total of seven courses (three/four courses per semester), such as principles of financial accounting, managerial accounting, financial statement analysis, intermediate accounting, and advanced accounting. A doctoral degree in Business Administration (Ph.D. or DBA) with a concentration in accounting is preferred, but an ABD will be considered.  Candidates should have teaching experience and a familiarity with small liberal arts colleges.  Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) and prior teaching, research, and professional experience is preferred.  The ability to teach in a secondary area, such as finance and international business would be advantageous.
