Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) is a multimedia, service-focused communications and marketing operation that leads in shaping the impression of AARP by providing communications planning, marketing, support and execution for AARP's strategic business units.
Summary

AARP's Washington, DC office is seeking a Solution Architect Senior Advisor (ICM).
Responsibilities
  • Serve on large business initiatives and enterprise digital transformation teams.
  • Lead technical design sessions and architect and document technical solutions that are aligned to project objectives.
  • Oversee the Adobe AEM platform in developing a secure software development life cycle.
  • Maintain scalable Amazon Web Services ("AWS") Cloud Content Management System. Work with product owners, team leads, and developers in defining application architectures and implementation to ensure adherence to business requirements, technology standards, best practices, and business strategies.
  • Translate products and business goals into technical strategies and roadmaps.
  • Oversee application security principles, including the development of secure coding standards and practices.
  • Work closely with product owners to refine requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technology solutions and processes to enable the organization to scale, innovate, and improve members' digital experience.
  • Provide subject-matter-expertise, industry knowledge, and team leadership for the development team. Enhance, fix bugs and increase the performance of the existing codebase. Facilitate design/architecture discussions.
  • Design highly scalable and extensible code with high-quality. Investigate, learn and apply new technologies/processes.
  • Consult with the management and clients on project status, scope, design, and outstanding issues. Develop and present architectural roadmaps.
Requirements
  • Qualified applicants must have a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or a related technical field, plus 3 years of experience as a Solutions Architect or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, AARP will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field, plus 5 years of experience in the position offered or related occupation.
