Working within the Emerging Businesses Product Development and Management team, the Digital Product Management Advisor will be responsible for assisting with the management of new products and services developed within Emerging Businesses, assist the Product Development team on the support of ASI where needed, and work at the direction of AARP via the New Product Development Process.

Responsibilities
  • Actively participates in the development of new strategies, concepts, new product development and implementation plans including evaluating new business models, assisting in developing prototypes, defining test plans and measuring performance against plan.
  • Works closely with the Product Development team to ensure new product or service handoff is successful post-development and creation.
  • Coordinates and partners with AARP marketing, finance, and business execution staff to manage the products launched from Emerging Businesses and ensure forecasts are being met, KPIs are achieved, and product versions or enhancements are made while exceeding consumer expectations.
  • Works within the Product and Development business unit to help steward AARP's New Product Development process by helping manage documentation needs and ensuring milestones and results are reported on and met.
  • Participates in inter-company initiatives between AARP & ASI, enhancing collaboration between both entities and ensuring the proper deployment of assets.
  • Forges and maintains relationships with key strategic players in the ASI ecosystem.
Requirements
  • MBA (Masters of Business Administration) desired with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration required.
  • 5+ years of experience developing digital products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, including building strategic and solid partnerships.
  • Ability to build outstanding partner relationships and influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the enterprise in an extremely complex organization. Ability to gain internal respect and build consensus from superiors, peers and subordinates.
  • Flexibility and ability to work fast under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements.
