Hood College invites applications for a full-time Director of Institutional Research and Assessment. The Director of Institutional Research and Assessment will provide vision, leadership, and management to the College’s institutional research and assessment efforts. The Director is responsible for organizing and managing the daily activities of the OIRA including providing leadership in supporting the College’s strategic planning process and in preparing and analyzing College and community demographics, projections, and studies. The Director will maintain and enhance institutional reporting and analytical capabilities through the development of improved, centralized data management processes. The Director is responsible for assisting in the creation of measurable goals and assessment of outcomes for the College and in applying appropriate quantitative and qualitative research design, statistical tools and analysis to institutional areas such as staffing patterns, planning, process improvement, program and services review, curriculum, accreditation, student outcomes, student and staff characteristics, enrollment management, data integrity, and state and federal reporting requirements.  It is highly preferred that the Director have a Master’s degree. Bachelor’s degree candidates will only be considered if they possess extensive professional experience (10+ years) in institutional research in a post-secondary institution. The Director will possess demonstrated experience in the ability to prioritize and meet competing internal requests for support and external reporting requirements; and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships across College constituencies.
