Responsibilities

• You will operate and repair high pressure boiler, cooling, and dehumidifying equipment systems to maintain operational efficiency.
• You will measure pipe, joint, and valve sizes for piping and boiler systems.
• You will interpret drawings and work instructions to determine the parts and equipment needed to repair boiler plant and air conditioning systems.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF AN UTILITY SYSTEMS REPAIRER OPERATOR WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION INCLUDING: (1) operating semi-automatic gas/oil fired high pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment (e.g., electric feed water and fuel pumps, electric driven forced draft fans, air compressors, water softening, and de-aerating equipment); 2) adjusting fuel feed controls; and 3) changing from gas to oil.)

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
