Overview: This is an incredible opportunity to join a well-respected financial publishing company in the downtown Baltimore area. As a Member Services Representative at InvestorPlace, you will be responsible for handling incoming phone call inquiries regarding both educational and transactional matters surrounding our financial publications. This role offers a large amount of hands on experience and knowledge surrounding a number of finance topics and strategies that are covered in our newsletters. Member Services Representatives are expected to be knowledgeable on a large array of financial jargon and knowledge surrounding the stock market as a whole in order to provide our subscribers with the proficient service they have come to expect with subscribing to our research. We are not financial advisors, however, we have an excellent training and on-boarding course to put our phone representatives in a position to succeed. Responsibilities: Maximize member experience by primarily taking inbound calls, which includes providing assistance navigating our website, ensuring customer satisfaction, providing account overview and maintenance, educating subscribers on current promotions, and InvestorPlace publications Resolve customers issues in one touch. Therefore, you will be asked to anticipate and/or take proactive measures (based on your continued education of InvestorPlace products) to offer alternative solutions Answer inbound customer service calls to place orders, process cancelations and resolve customer concerns (answer approximately 75-100 calls and resolve 20-50 customer emails each day) Keep supervisor informed of trending customer issues Prepare correspondence (letters and emails) Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Various other tasks as directed by the manager Qualifications: Bachelor s degree; or in lieu of degree, previous customer service experience is accepted. Excellent customer service, written, and telephone skills Ability to build rapport with customer base as well as with co-workers and teammates Capacity to analyze and manage problem situations Experience working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously Previous customer service and/or sales experience Basic understanding of finance and/or investing People oriented and empathetic Ability to manage several tasks at once About InvestorPlace InvestorPlace is one of the largest, smartest, fastest moving financial publishers on the planet.
