Overview: LMI, a strategic consulting organization focused on the federal government, is seeking an IT Project Manager with experience supporting government program management activities. The IT Project Manager (IT PM) will work closely with a geographically diverse project team, including clients, subs, other contractors, and vendor staff, on technology focused projects. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of their projects, throughout their entire lifecycle, introducing robust and practical project management solutions at every opportunity. Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated understanding of IT project management practices, including the management of complex system implementations and modifications. Qualified candidates are dedicated and quick learners who are able to participate professionally at various levels of seniority. Qualified candidates will also have a demonstrated understanding of data management and documentation management as well as possess the ability to translate between business and IT stakeholders. Highly qualified candidates will demonstrate an understanding of cyber security practices for Government Agencies for system modifications, integrations, and procurement. Qualified candidates will have the ability to interface directly with senior-level clients while maintaining a focused, strategic mindset for growing LMI s business by solving client challenges. Qualified candidates will also be able to manage large scale teams, including various vendors, subs, and multiple clients with competing priorities. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics. Responsibilities: Work with program manager to oversee and manager multiple, interconnected IT projects with various geographically dispersed project teams Work with program manager to create a devise project strategies for business stakeholders, including providing subject matter expertise to solve complex problems Use a metrics-based approach to tracking status of project deliverables and milestones based on information collected from stakeholders across multiple projects Manage a large team, including potential subcontractors, client SMEs, other contractors, and vendors. Provide IT subject matter expertise for implementation, mofidication, and consolidation of systems and services, to include all aspects of requirements development, design, execution, cyber security, testing, deployment, and transition to O&M. Assist with establishment and rollout of PMO capabilities to various client sites with multiple types of project stakeholders Partner with senior level stakeholders to identify metrics that can be used to benchmark, analyze, and report project data Implementing, administering, and updating PMO capability areas based on stakeholder feedback Research into and contribute towards new project capabilities Qualifications: 8 years work experience Bachelor s degree PMP ceritfication with Demonstrated knowledge of PMBOK methodologies and project management techniques Demonstrated communications skills, both written and verbal to multiple levels of management Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments Expert-level knowledge and experience with Microsoft products- Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word is required. Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail Must be amenable to working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment A strong customer-centric approach to executing projects Must be skilled at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic in all situations with clients, vendors, and coworkers
