Summary

As a Executive Assistant, you will carry out a variety of functions, activities, and special assignments relating to the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall QT organization to include compliance with GSA and FAS policies and procedures, and execution and human capital support.

The position is located in Federal Acquisition Service, Information Technology Category.

Responsibilities

The office of IT Category is responsible for providing access to private sector IT & telecommunications solutions for federal, state & local government agencies.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
  • Maintains the calendar for the Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) and other Senior Executive Service (SES) members as assigned, setting up, changing or rearranging appointments and meetings based on knowledge of the DAC or other assigned SES priorities.
  • Ensures all pertinent information and back-up material is collected and provided to the DAC or other assigned SES prior to meetings. Schedules all travel for the DAC or other assigned SES and reconciles all travel expenses.
  • Manages Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) or assigned Senior Executive Service (SES) members' travel, meeting and conference attendance. Ensures all appropriate documentation is approved as required. Researches policies regarding travel and attendance to ensure all policies are adhered to. Coordinates with facilities for office space needs, equipment, and transportation.
  • Prepares and assists with presentations in a variety of formats. Assists with program management plans, reports and reviews and manages special projects including analysis as assigned by the Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) or assigned Senior Executive Service (SES) members.
  • Analyzes, interprets and integrates information in a variety of formats, such as graphs and tables, databases and spreadsheets and plans and implements new formats and products suitable for and accessible to specialized audiences.

The GS-0301-13 salary range starts at $103690.00 per year.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience working with leadership in carrying out a variety of special assignments including research, coordination, organizing information and files, and writing reports and other materials for leadership; communicating and coordinating with the public and internal and external stakeholders to respond to inquiries and prepare information materials; independently carrying out administrative functions, including all aspects of meeting scheduling, coordinating, and travel reservations.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the strategic direction, policies, guidance, techniques, sources and processes in order to identify and provide substantive input in planning the strategic direction of the agency's program.
  • Knowledge of the programs, operations and viewpoints of the Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) or assigned Senior Executive Service (SES) members and the interrelationships with other GSA program areas in order to provide recommendations and comments to the Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) or assigned Senior Executive Service (SES) members for solutions to resolve critical administrative issues.
  • Expert knowledge of analytical, evaluative and qualitative and quantitative principles, techniques and method to gather, analyze agency level administrative activities, processes, procedures and operations; identify functional and operating deficiencies; develop programs and recommendation to resolve such deficiencies; and develop and promote agency level programs to improve the quality and quantity and efficiency of programs, operations and services.
