This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD. Responsibilities:Design, develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases for Echostar-Hughes that support internal and external applicationsInstall, configure and maintain DBMS software and databasesConstruct and execute backup and recovery operationsWork closely with infrastructure and application teams in the implementation and design of databasesDevelop and adhere to standards and procedures and provide day-to-day operational support of development, test and production database environmentsResponsible for project commitments, development of overall project database specifications and schedulesProvide customer service by assessing performance problems and resolving issues in the areas of performance tuning, availability, integrity, recoverability and documentationInstall, Configure, Administer and Maintain multiple SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint On-line environments that host many mission critical sites and applicationsPlans, designs, and executes architecture for future SharePoint implementations or upgradesMigrate sites from older versions of SharePoint to the latest version using OOTB database attach method and using third party migration tools Basic Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field10+ years database experience with strong knowledge of technical and analytical tools relating to database development, maintenance and performance.3+ years' hands on experience administering multiple SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint On-line environments, experience must include: installing and configuring large server farm topologies - physical and Virtual (VMware and Hyper-V); applying patches, service packs, and infrastructure updates, managing SharePoint Service providers and experience with management of service applications on SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint On-lineMust be capable of obtaining and holding a US government security clearancePreferred Qualifications:In-depth experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017 and 2019. Specific to our environment in-depth experience with Always On 2017 and SQL Clustering.Experience with Windows Operating system skills.Experience with PostgreSQL.Experience with MS Azure.Knowledge of Spotlight On SQL Server monitoring tool a plus.Knowledge of CommVault a plus.Knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu, and/or Photon) a plus.Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, clustered servers, and SAN storage a plus.Experience in scripting in Python, PowerShell, C# and/or T-SQL.Experience in problem resolution and root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques.Experience working with development teams to design and implement SQL Server databases, associated tools and processes in support of complex business application development and deployment.Familiarity with creating and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint products-both on-premise and cloud-based (Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)).Experience migrating on-premises SharePoint sites to Office 365 SharePoint online using third party tools like Sharegate, DocAve or NintexExperience with PowerShell scripting including SharePoint Online Management Shell and Microsoft Azure PowerShellMCITP (Database Administrator) or MCSE certification is a plus.MCSE Cloud and Infrastructure certification is a plus.Azure Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
