Director of Business Development - Veterans Affairs Position Description CGI is seeking an individual with a broad strategic perspective and demonstrated performance leading a team tasked with developing, implementing and delivering information technology (IT) solutions to problems. Specifically, this role will support major business development opportunities supporting Veterans Affairs pursuits. Your future duties and responsibilities * Build strong relationships with VA clients in order to better understand and proactively respond to their needs, promote CGI full services offerings and help clients meet their strategic and tactical goals. * Act as CGI lead, trusted advisor and business partner, identify client needs and developing business process and technology solutions that solve critical issues and support organizational priorities. * Develop and manage VA opportunities pipelines to identifying and establishing partner opportunities to gain access to market opportunities * Work in partnership with CGI leadership and proposal managers to develop and implement detailed win strategies and tactics, holding primary responsibility for the pre-RFP capture/marketing effort and negotiations with internal and external teammates. * Respond to request for information (RFI) or sources sought requests as appropriate, coordinating the requisite resources needed for a response and ensuring the right message is conveyed for the RFI response, and in consideration of CGI Federal's win strategy. * Attract, build and develop talent, to ensure teams drive innovation and foster collaboration. Required qualifications to be successful in this role * Prior project experience should have 10+ years of experience working on US Federal projects or programs, with at least 5 years successfully serving in VA business development or capture management role with a successful sales track record * Ability to constructively influence and interact at the highest level of VA customer administrations. * Demonstrated ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management, with a particular focus on understanding how to leverage technology differentiators. * Attention to detail, and strong communication, negotiation, client facing and client relationship building skills. * Ability to travel to different client sites in the DC Metro area and around the US. * Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required. * Possesses relationships with firms doing business in VA and ability to forming teaming partnerships.
