USRA is seeking a Director of Finance. The director of finance position will lead the USRA's key financial processes including forecasting, annual planning, performance reporting and strategic pricing. They will provide financial consulting and strategic support to Executive management including strategic planning, preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by Executive management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support 'optimal' business decision making.Duties and Responsibilities: Determine appropriate business structure and indirect rates to support strategic objectives.Develop and monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance. Support balanced scorecard metrics and reporting.Owner of financial tools to support key processes of planning, forecasting and decision support.Oversee the development of Annual, Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports. Analyze and distill complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.Deliver robust financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives. Employ advanced modeling techniques including stochastic modeling and scenarios as appropriate for the analysis.Communicate proactively with the leadership on risks and issues, act as a trusted advisor and work in partnership with the Leadership Team to advance the mission of the organization.Operating in a matrix organization, responsible for the coordination of resources across finance function team and train for surge requirements to meet USRA needs.Advance USRA's finance function through broad-based capabilities achievement and mentoring opportunities.Prepare, disseminate and train staff on finance related procedures and operational instructions.Ensure compliant pricing and cost estimating system(s) and robust, flexible and sustainable pricing model(s).In collaboration with the Capture Team, utilizes price to win methodologies to establish market based competitive price ranges for complex competitive opportunities as well as participates in competitive analysis and research activities to bring strategic and tactical insight to competitive deal teams.Required Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in a business, finance, or related fieldExperience: 10+ years of relevant analytical experience in the government contracting industry.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Advanced financial and analytical capabilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Mastery of regulatory environment.Ability to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace.Technology: Advanced skills in Excel or other modeling tools including OLAP and Cognos or similar reporting tools.Travel: Negligible.
