Description Overview SAIC is looking for a Junior Software Engineer Developer interested in joining our team in Alexandria, VA and exploring an exciting and challenging career. In this Role the candidate will collaborate with Team Leads and Senior Developers, on the overall design, development, and solution of Next Generation Java J2EE based applications, will engage in full stack Java J2EE application development and will work on all or any Java Technologies from UI to back end. Responsibilities Analyze problems such as user requirements, input data and form, output data and form, available computer configuration, processing, and turnaround time requirements Evaluate, test, and manage configuration that support the software development process Plan, conduct, and direct systems projects of major importance and difficulty by applying your advanced computer systems knowledge Research systems analysis methodology and create a repository of such information in electronic format for re-use Maintain comprehensive knowledge in the development of client/server and internet applications that utilize a n-tier architecture and graphical user interface Provide deployment support by deploying code, static files, and/or databases by request to the staging environment and syncing static files and databases among environments Ability to thrive as a member of a highly motivated Agile team Other similar professional duties assigned as needed Qualifications Required Skills 0-2 years of experience in open source web development Experience building websites using JS frameworks such as Angular and React Experience building applications using Java, Spring boot, JSON , and JavaScript Experience with test automation tools such as Karma, Cucumber and Selenium Experience with automated deployment tools such as Jenkins Experience in Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development frameworks Ready to embrace a fast-paced work environment with deadlines and new challenges Strong communication and teamwork abilities Understanding of CI/CD pipeline Employer will accept a suitable combination of education, training, or experience Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience Ability to obtain a Public Trust Desired Skills Experience delivering solutions using Agile delivery practices Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Familiarity with revision control systems such as Git/Github Familiarity with Rally Overview SAIC is a premier technology integrator solving our nation's modernization and readiness challenges.
