Responsibilities The customer is seeing a Project Manager for managing high visibility IT projects. As a Project Manager, the candidate must possess extensive experience managing Information Technology (IT) projects, including a good grasp of systems and technologies, and a solid understanding of business drivers, processes, and interests. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Working with internal team members and external partners to develop project plans Communicating status of projects to stakeholders within and outside the IT group Driving the planning and coordination of activities for division IT projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame and funding parameters Leading the execution of work plans and activities under the division roadmap in accordance with the Project Management Framework (PMF) Tracking and reporting on scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timing Providing timely and concise updates on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders Highlighting areas of risk and capturing key decisions Blending creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing approaches or developing new approaches Presenting and explaining technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding Gathering functional and technical requirements utilizing standard project management and/or business analysis methodologies, including, but not limited to, interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, use cases, workflow analysis, etc. Facilitating and incorporating lessons learned and best practices Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as mission partners and software vendors Providing meeting facilitation, including development of meeting agenda and minutes Accurately capturing and monitoring status of action items through effective tracking tools and communications of progress Qualifications Required Skills: Demonstrated experience managing and leading highly visible and complex solutions to the production environment Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to introduce innovation and motivate project teams Demonstrated project leadership skills, including experience with all project lifecycle phases, such as planning, analysis, specifications, quality assurance (QA), process re-engineering, end-user training, and implementation and monitoring of compliance and metrics Extensive experience with implementing Agile methodology with alignment to the PMF Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques Demonstrated interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and proven leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills Excellent presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate to varying levels of organizational management Ability to capture thoughts and transform them into appropriate documents, whether it is vision statements, flow diagrams, and/or project charters Formal training in project management methodology. Strong proficiency with project scheduling tools, such as Primavera Project Management or Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project Requires a minimum of 10 years with BS/BA or 8 years with MS/MA or 5 years with PhD. Desired Skills: Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities Proven ability to manage in a highly fluid and interactive environment Project Management Professional (PMP) Salary Minimum: $91,998.40 Salary Maximum:$196,664.00 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Perspecta's total compensation package for employees.
