Our Impact:

Our team helps manage the work of the modelers and the model community. We use powerful, machine-learning methods to build the models that guide critical functions such as funding loans, valuation, predicting default and loss severity. The models implemented in MEDA (Modeling, Econometrics, Data Science and Analytics) are the 'heartbeat of Freddie'. MEDA cleans, aggregates and prepares large amounts of data used to develop models and policies that support the Single-Family business.

You will be an integral part of the successful implementation of best-in-class modeling engines that are the backbone of the Single-Family business strategy focused on being the leader in housing. You will have every opportunity to create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption through continuous improvements in business processes, system and technology, job roles and organizational structures working in a fast-paced, highly intellectual, mission-focused organization.

Your job responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborate with all partners, including: model owners, developers, business drivers, significant users, data analysts, key assessors, risk and financial engineering
  • Apply structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required to a project or initiative
  • Ensure change efforts relating to the models, applications or data ingestion processes are a success
  • Apply your knowledge of change management, project management and agile principles
  • Have the flexibility to adapt processes to new and evolving model change efforts as you build out the program plans, timelines, critical paths and dependencies.
  • Work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures.
  • Ensure partners are advised by leading daily scrums, model community, partner, governance and project planning meetings to ensure team engagement, along with developing appropriate and timely reporting
  • Facilitate the creation of key deliverables for change management (ex., communication plan, sponsor roadmap, training plan, new and updated processes)
  • Facilitate the creation of key deliverables for project management (ex., project plan, sponsor update, project status updates, UAT Plan, Implementation plan, application change memo)
  • Embrace and enhance the model governance critical activities by executing according to Freddie Mac modeling policies and procedures
  • Support the efforts by actively removing impediments (e.g., constraints, barriers), leading key dependencies and ensuring teams are properly resourced


  • Typically has 12+ years of related experience and 4+ years management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or Information Systems, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired
  • Experience and knowledge of project management (e.g., Project Management Professional) and agile principles and practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Prosci Change Management) and large-scale change efforts.
  • Experience in design thinking techniques and adaptive, 'test & learn' approaches. Knowledge and experience in human centered design.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships and work effectively across all levels and stakeholders towards a common vision or goal.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to confidently present a compelling case and build support for ideas and resources
  • Strong emotional intelligence (EQ), sense of humor, and unbridled integrity a must
