DCS is looking for an experienced Logistician to assist an Army Project Manager located on Fort Belvoir with implementing, developing, and reviewing acquisition logistics policy and plans.

Essential Job Functions:

Provides senior-level logistics expertise and advises project manager logistics director on acquisition logistics policy implementation; developing internal policy, and reviewing product logistics support plans and related documentation.

Reviews DoD and Army logistics and sustainment policy and develops plans to implement at Project and Product office level.

Provides lifecycle management planning and analysis for all phases of the product lifecycle.

Integrates and plans for the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSE) in all phases of the sustainment and acquisition processes.

Interfaces with ASAALT, AMC, LCMC, PEO Soldier, ATEC, AEC, CASCOM, MCOE, and other PEOs and PM on logistics requirements.

Establishes and assists in the planning, developing, coordinating, defending and executing all aspects of the PMs' Life Cycle Logistics support under the processes of DoD acquisition and sustainment.

Performs and develops plans and projects, determines needs, investigates and resolves problems, interfaces with other functions and stakeholders, prepares capital assets and operating requests, and manages functional areas.

Assists in logistics automation using enterprise planning tools (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP, and etc.) for acquisition and sustainment operations.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High school diploma and 10 years of experience.

Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

In-depth knowledge of DoD 5000-series acquisition and logistics management policies, as we as Army Regulation 70-1 Army Acquisition Policy, AR 700-142 Type Classification, Materiel Release and Transfer and supporting DA Pamphlets.

Desired Skills:

DAWIA Acquisition Logistics certification.

DAU Logistics courses/training.
