OVERVIEW This position will be responsible for coordinating closings with members, reviewing loan files in order to prepare settlement documents, and post-closing all completed/signed settlement packages to ensure all required documents have been completed and signed accurately, to book loans to the Credit Unions' core systems and to verify all pertinent information has been successfully transferred over. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct a thorough QC review of the loan package received from the processor Coordinate settlement date and time with the member Prepare closing documents for delivery to settlement agent Calculate and issue wire proceeds in conjunction with closing date and settlement agent requirements Conduct a post-closing review the completed/signed loan package returned by the settlement agent to ensure accuracy and compliance with all CU requirements and state and federal regulatory requirements Book and disburse loans in the Credit Unions' core system Interact with First Mortgage Fulfillment team and 3rd party Title companies in order to facilitate any simultaneous settlements Work in collaboration and partnership with other team members Additional job related projects as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience 2-3 years of experience closing home equity or 1st trust mortgages preferred Strong knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to the mortgage banking industry (ie: RESPA, TILA, ECOA etc) Candidate must be highly organized and able to handle a fast paced environment Ability to perform mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail Time Management skills and the ability to prioritize workload based on department SLA's and member needs Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy Ability to work flexible hours as needed Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team and ability to collaborate with others Positive attitude and team-oriented Ability to function in an ever changing environment
