Responsibilities

The FDCD is responsible for, among other things: (a) implementing a data-centric approach to managing and governing financial data within the AO and the federal Judiciary; (b) developing a data foundation that consists of, among other data management and data governance artifacts and capabilities, an enterprise data model; (c) developing, managing and maintaining data governance policies, processes, standards and documentation; (d) developing, implementing, and maintaining an internal control review process; (e) conducting internal control reviews of financial processes and financial systems; and (f) developing, implementing, and maintaining policy and processes to report improper payments. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the FDCD Chief by providing administrative, procurement, and logistic/planning support for the division's data governance and internal controls initiatives;
  • Serving as FDCD liaison with AO Human Resources and other AO offices, and the InfoWeb Administrator;
  • Preparing and processing requisitions utilizing the Judiciary Integrated Financial Management System (JIFMS) for, but not limited to, acquisitions and other staffing requests;
  • Serving as the FDCD onboarding coordinator by, preparing and submitting all requisite onboarding documentation, ensuring requisite network accessibility, and obtaining needed equipment, tools, and office space;
  • Serving as the coordinator for various meetings, trainings, and working sessions by overseeing and providing logistical and meeting support, including but not limited to conference room logistics, both in-person and virtual, and meeting documentation development and dissemination, as needed;
  • Drafting and managing a wide range of technical and informational material, including but not limited to, project documents, correspondence, and reports, and assisting with administrative and other correspondence and responses related to division inquiries from both internal and external requesters;
  • Coordinating FDCD procedures as it relates to both maintaining and improving operational efficiency; and
  • Performing special projects as assigned by the FDCD Chief, including but not limited to logistical, analytical, and administrative tasks.

  • You will be required to serve a trial period if selected for a first-time appointment to the Federal government, transferring from another Federal agency, or serving as a first-time supervisor. Failure to successfully complete the trial period may result in termination of employment.
  • If appointed to a temporary position, management may have the discretion of converting the position to permanent depending upon funding and staffing allocation.

  • Qualifications

    Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.

    Specialized Experience : Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience performing a variety of administrative, logistical, and analytical support functions in an office environment.
