Responsibilities
Work includes developing and maintaining project plans, scope of work and objectives, and coordinating with various SAA groups and outside agencies to accomplish project goals and objectives. Work also includes ensuring all stakeholders are on track with project tasks and schedules and processes are communicated with Senate offices. This position manages the work of section staff and evaluates performance.
- Manages the daily operations of section; plans, organizes, priorities, and assigns work of section staff. Ensures staff training and provides motivation and evaluation.
- Provides detailed oversight, guidance, and overall management on project plans, scopes of work, schedules, and project communications to all Senate state offices. Coordinates at a senior level to develop requirements for tenant improvements. Communicates those requests across all appropriate stakeholders within the SAA and with Landlords, general contractors, and technicians. Manages execution of work.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of state project plans and project documentation for all stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains the comprehensive database of all state office project content. Serves as the site owner and point of contact for all content, security and end user support management.
- Leads process improvement initiatives and work flows and oversees implementation.
- Manages project communication, facilitates information sharing, team collaboration and decision making to ensure projects stay on track.
- Provides budget and financial management support, forecasting and project analysis to the Director. Analyzes project data and trends for budget forecasting and development.

Qualifications
Work requires a Bachelor's Degree and five to eight years of experience in project management/project supervision, with at least two years of work in a lead or project manager capacity; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills:
- Knowledge of rules, regulations, procedures and functions, including policies and regulations set by the Senate Rules Committee and the Senate Committee on Ethics.
- Knowledge of principles, methods and practices of project management, including project budgeting, scheduling, staffing, risk management and requirements analysis.
- Knowledge of current trends in office and IT equipment technology, products and services.
- Ability to oversee and manage simultaneous projects for a demanding and deadline driven clientele.
- Ability to organize and coordinate resources, priorities, and schedules to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Ability to plan, supervise, assign and review the work of staff.
- Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports.
- Ability to respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a tactful, timely and courteous manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Senate office staff, internal stakeholders, vendors, and other Federal agencies.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to include presentations.
