Responsibilities

As a your typical work assignments may include:
  • Devises and develops detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of major agency programs..
  • Identifies the data required and provides information for making decisions on the programmatic aspects of special emphasis projects and priorities.
  • Researches, keeps informed of changes and supplements, and apply legislation, regulations and policy directives that affect special emphasis projects and related automated applications.
  • Evaluates assigned program against short and long range objectives. Analyzes, plans, and coordinated major hardware acquisitions to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Analyzes program performance and evaluates effectiveness and efficiency in supporting major drug trafficking investigations. Prepares hardware and software recommendations that include cost/benefit analysis.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the Basic Requirement AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent . Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience for this position includes:

GS-12: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 Federal grade level performing the following duties; analyzing and evaluating program effectiveness and efficiency; providing recommendations on equipment analysis; collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data for programs.

GS-13: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 Federal grade level performing the following duties; developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of programs; making decisions concerning planning, organizing, and conducting studies complicated by conflicting program goals and objectives

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.
