What We're Looking For: The Business Analyst III will help improve operations and track success metrics of 2U's global IT org including Infrastructure and Helpdesk. As IT initiatives rely on support from other internal and external teams, this individual will consult regularly with teams across the org to prioritize the team's work. The Business Analyst should be a strategic thinker who can balance multiple priorities and is able to coordinate cross-team collaboration efforts . As a more senior member of the team, the expectation is that the Business Analyst III will act not only as a leader within the team, but a mentor to other lower-level Business Analysts. A Business Analyst III is expected to be at a professional maturity level that would allow them to be a reliable representation in leadership and tech/dev-wide conversations. While this individual does not need to have deep expertise in all aspects of IT, it is expected that they will possess sufficient technical literacy and an awareness of the importance of IT to effectively champion this portfolio of work. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Logistics and Management Working with Project Manager or IT Infrastructure technical leads--to elicit, clarify, elaborate, synthesize, simplify and organize requirements in the form of clearly defined tickets. Working with the Engineering team to ensure project goals and priorities are maintained throughout development planning and execution. Provide operational guidance to engineers to eliminate blockers and translate the stakeholder needs to actionable prioritized requirements. Own, track and improve team workflow process in order to identify and improve upon efficiencies in software development, product management and operational functions. Success Metrics and Communication Work with multiple teams that may be impacted by or dependent on decisions, milestones or deployments owned by your team. Utilizing metrics from our various systems, develop and maintain reports for project and team performance. Maintain the role as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on 2U's IT tools and practices and share knowledge across teams regarding current and future functionality. Things That Should Be In Your Background: 4+ years experience in Business Analysis, Project Management or applicable field. Experience implementing IT tools and practices. Familiarity with agile methodology. Strong written and verbal communication skills, exhibiting professionalism in both internal and external documentation. Experience managing multiple cross-team projects and relationships, including working on time sensitive projects. Experience with utilizing Jira, Slack, EazyBI is a strong plus. About 2U Inc.
