These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle. At SNC s Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) team we are an agile, high-caliber contractor that engineers, builds, integrates, modifies and supports turnkey air- and ground-based Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) products and services. Learn more about IMS We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field and at least 14 years of relevant experience. In this challenging, fast-paced environment, you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to design and create the most groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies - those that exist today and those that will shape tomorrow. Must-haves: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience Demonstrated experience architecting complex enterprise level applications Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams Experience working with scalable applications in a Cloud Based environment (AWS preferred) High proficiency working with an Object Oriented Programming languages (Java preferred) Proficiency with a scripting language (Python preferred) Experience building scalable applications from design to production deployment in an Agile scrum based development methodology Experience working with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines Ability to lead a team of other senior engineers Preferred: Experience with requirements management and interfacing with customers to break down business requirements to technical specification documents. Full stack development experience which involves familiarity with modern Javascript frameworks (Angular, Meteor, React) Experience working with NoSQL databases viz. MongoDB, Elasticsearch, HBase, Cassandra Experience working with Relational databases viz. Oracle 12c, MySQL, PostgreSQL Knowledge of industry design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Security Clearance is required At Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) we deliver customer-focused technology and best-of-breed integrations in the aerospace and defense sectors.
