This includes all asset, liability, revenue, and expense accounts Prepare and Approve comprehensive journal entries, recurring entries, overhead expense allocations and month-end accruals in accordance with GAAP. Perform and Review Balance sheet reconciliation and assign accounts to the GL team by monitoring activity in the accounts, reconciling sub-ledgers to general ledger and resolve all variances. Ensure the accuracy of the transactions and resolve discrepancies in accounts. Review the bi-weekly reconciliation of CIC Payroll which includes researching and resolving differences between labor distribution and Payroll and initiating/recording journal entries for special payroll payments and adjustments.A' Recommends, reviews and monitors compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls. Ensure proper internal controls are in place pertaining to General Ledger and Month-End in compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit and work closely with internal and external auditors and provide necessary support Assisted in quarterly SOX compliance testing of internal controls and annual audits. Ensured all SOX requirements around responsibility are met and key controls are documented Review intercompany accounts including tracking and reporting all variance between intercompany accounts that are greater than 90 days and the reconciliation of the intercompany accounts, including review invoices and elimination entries. Contribute to the production of timely financial reporting by preparing requested reports pertaining to general ledger. Maintain files, reports, supporting documents, and records for which Accounting Department is responsible. Assist in special projects and cross-training where needed within the Accounting and Finance team. Accomplished the department objectives by successfully assign responsibilities to the GL Team group. Coordinated with CIC Controller to obtain up-to-date information for month-close process. Assisted in preparation of Validity Check reporting package and supporting schedules for Home Office. Prepared schedules for external auditors and provided supporting documents.A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Participated into special projects and provided support to management as required. Acts as backup for CIC Controller at meetings, check runs approvals, vendor approval and Cash Management Module.A' Here's What You'll Need:Over ten years of hands-on experience with emphasis in month-end/quarter-end activities, financial statements preparation & financial reporting and analysis, US GAAP Knowledge Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, preferred MBA / CPA Must possess functional experience on the following modules of DELTEK Costpoint 7.1.1, Cognos, or reporting query tools. Proficient with personal computers and use of Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel. Proven track record of making productive contribution and performing high-quality work independently or in a team. Ability to learn rapidly and handle multiple tasks in a timely manner while paying attention to details and work well under pressure and meeting deadlines Experience working with Government Contract regulations (FAR / CAS) Strong problem-solving skills, highly analytical skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills Strong organizational and time management skills.A' Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills are required Ability to prioritize work and detail oriented and enjoy working in a dynamic environment Ability to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner Must have strong work ethics and self-motivated Team Player Excellent documentation and communication skills. Must possess the ability to interface with all levels of management A' Physical Requirements: Most work will be done at a desk or computer. Work Environment: General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers. Equipment & Machines: General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Attendance: Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday.A' However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
