Position Overview:

Are you a network engineer pursuing your next opportunity? If so, this role will be part of the Network Operations Team within the Information Technology Division. You will be responsible for providing operational leadership and support for multi-site enterprise and data center network environments; including troubleshooting of network and security infrastructure technologies and solutions!

Your work falls into four primary categories:

Operational Support
  • Work on requests through the ticketing system to resolve or implement network changes to routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, proxies and DNS systems.
  • Provide network configuration and troubleshooting support.
  • Diagnose, tackle and provide root cause analysis for hardware and network related issues.
  • Support and Participate in our On-call rotation schedule and be available to assist during major issue or outages.
  • Business Communication. Engage with IT and business areas to discuss issues and document or explain technical solutions in a simplified way.
  • Mentor junior members in the operations team and engineering teams.

Technical Execution
  • Engage in efforts to Automate routine tasks across the Engineering and Operations teams so that customers can utilize a self-serve model of basic changes without the need of tickets and engaging engineering staff.
  • Understand Network, Security and Voice standards, reference architectures and robust/scalable/secure Network, Security and Voice infrastructure, its outcome and ongoing results.
  • Provide technical expertise to implement, configure and troubleshoot multiple technologies.

Project Execution
  • Engage in a variety of project work implementing new technology and improving the stability and standards of the enterprise infrastructure.
  • Participate in project deployments with other engineers to meet deadlines and requirements.

  • Assist with Audits and Risk Management activities.
  • Ensure infrastructure meets compliance requirements.
  • Assist with issue remediation activities.
  • Look for ways to automate compliance and reporting.

Our Impact:
Enterprise Network Operations is responsible for the operational support of the Enterprise Network Infrastructure and multiple platforms. The technologies include IPAM, Load Balancer, Firewalls, Network Automation, Wireless, Route/Switch and end user authentication.

Your Impact:
You will collaborate with network, infrastructure and security teams and team leadership to advance our technical capabilities and improve our services to the business. In addition, you will help support solutions that support the needs of the business, and especially the IT organization.

  • 5+ years in an operations role engaged with IP network technologies including LAN switching, BGP/OSPF routing, VPLS/MPLS, Quality of Service, traffic engineering, server load balancing and network-security support for large scale multi-site data center environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with Automation and scripting - experience with Ansible, Terraform, AppViewX, Python and other platforms with proven experience delivering systems that reduce delivery timeframes, increase successful changes and results.
  • 5+ years of experience with the configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of Arista, VXLAN, EVPN, Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus Switches and Routers, Cisco Wireless, Cisco ASA VPN, F5 Networks LTM/GTM, Palo Alto Firewall, Cisco Identity Service Engine, Sourcefire IDS/IPS, Zscaler.
  • Experience with Arista network equipment and CloudVision.
  • Experience with NTP, RADIUS/TACACS+, DNS and DHCP infrastructure design.
  • Experience with network visibility and monitoring using Gigamon, Riverbed and Splunk solutions.
