Position Overview:

Freddie Mac Real Estate and Property Development is currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager with responsibilities to include planning, development and management of all aspects of real estate project scope, budget, and schedule for capital projects. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) is encouraged to take an active role assisting the team in the timely and efficient delivery of projects through all phases of construction including: project justification, capturing business requirements, handling funding, leading detailed programming, supporting the site selection process, vendor sourcing and structure, budgeting, scheduling, design, permitting, bid leveling, value engineering, construction administration, move logistics and commissioning.

Your Impact:

You will be playing a lead role in developing real estate strategies and solutions supporting the enterprise across all business functions and markets. This role engages directly in the design and execution of commercial real estate projects of all sizes. For large scale projects you will collaborate with the owner team of representatives working with consultants to develop and implement a branded design that is focused on enhancing the employee experience. This position will act as the lead for smaller projects (<$2M in total scope). You have the ability to join a highly experienced team of professionals who are working to develop forward looking alternative approaches to workplace solutions by working closely with business groups, industry specialists and cross functional organizations to ensure we are approaching design from a holistic perspective and staying on top of industry trends.

  • 3-8 years proven experience in Construction, Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
  • Customer service skills including organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in analysis of real estate and construction cost related data, experience with trending analysis.
  • Financial analysis and budgeting skills related to construction and project management.
  • Experience in external vendor management, vendor performance and KPIs.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the management of construction and move, add, change projects.
  • Bachelor's degree BA/ BS in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering or comparable field from accredited 4-year college or university.
  • Technical MS Office with skills proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project or other construction management/utilization software.
  • Must be able to thrive in an ambiguous, constantly evolving environment.
