Job Description Job Summary: GEICO's Cloud Products and Services department is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Analyst to take on Agile Scrum Product Ownership, Project Management and Software analysis responsibilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with the development team to build software and implement tooling that improves all aspects of GEICO's software development lifecycle. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with GEICO's business-line application teams to understand software development challenges and help drive solutions that deliver code to market faster. You'll develop a deep understanding of GEICO's software development operation across 6,000+ technical staff, with exposure to Azure technologies, enterprise SDLC tooling, application architectures, and process philosophies such as Agile, DevOps. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are required. The ideal candidate is able to work well independently and as part of a team. He/she will be able to communicate technical problems to non-technical audiences. Critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving skills are a must. Responsibilities: Lead efforts to modernize and migrate application teams' code and processes across systems Partner with GEICO's business-line application development teams to evaluate SDLC tooling and process challenges Drive the analysis, build out, and customer adoption of SDLC software and tooling by GEICO's application development community Provide training and troubleshooting support for SDLC tooling (ie Azure DevOps, GitHub, custom software) Consult on SDLC standards, best practices, and technology landscape to improve tool offerings and development processes across GEICO IT Candidate Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT related field or a non-IT Bachelor's degree with relevant professional experience Excellent time management skills and attention to detail is required Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences Strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills, creative/innovative thinking Experience documenting business and system requirements, processes, and workflows Experience leading/facilitating project management processes or teams to deliver enterprise projects Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, agile, and DevOps You can also check out our jobs on LinkedIn, #LI-DP1.
