The Corporate Support System (CSS) Customs Application Team has a great opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and make significant contributions to build, operate, and maintain Enterprise-level, large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly reliable systems. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work with a talented team to develop, deliver and maintain infrastructure solutions, and custom applications for our HR and Financial operations at GEICO. The right candidate for this position will work on a small team solving high-priority challenges, support various custom applications and enterprise systems. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience programming, and infrastructure development in building .NET applications with .NET Framework and .NET Core along with their associated runtime environments. Strong, proven experience as a DevOps engineer in a scalable production environment built on Azure, Oracle Cloud or AWS. Proven experience with PowerShell Scripting, Node.js/JavaScript frameworks and design patterns. Experience working with APIs and Microservices (Docker / Kubernetes). A strong desire to innovate and build comprehensive solutions that other DevOps engineers inside the team and across the organization can leverage. Any creative work in the following areas is helpful: serverless application development, monitoring for microservices, chaos engineering or feature toggling, A/B testing, performance testing. Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SMS), SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS). Strong conceptualization, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work closely with business customers, analysts, and developers as part fast-paced environment being a team player while capable of working independently. Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with non-IT teams across the organization. Ability to verbalize and communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences. Experience working with remote resources. Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks as well as give assignments with Project Management tools. Ability to think strategically and be innovative in a team-oriented environment. Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. 5+ years applicable networking operations / engineering experience; previous experience with SSL Certificate management, DNS, TCP/IP, and Firewall Configuration highly valued. The ideal candidate will have designed, developed, and implemented solutions that support business functionality and the underlying infrastructure required to run and deploy those solutions. The candidate must possess the technical skills and experiences with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and continuous delivery systems. Responsibilities Include: Production support including triage and 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure a high availability and stable environment for our customers. Meeting established Service Level Agreements, communicate diplomatically with customers and stakeholders both via email and verbally. Working with peers, improving processes and support for remote customers. Manages the development and production support with onshore and offshore team members. Oversee and streamline the handling and resolution of trouble tickets. Attending the daily Scrum calls and updating artifacts. To support multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines. Desired Qualifications: Understanding both the On-Prem and Cloud Windows Server environments. Understanding of the different Cloud Services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS). Understanding of Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) and Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence, Service Desk) Experience with WorkDay Security and HCM. 3+ Years of experienced with Agile practices/ methodologies (e. g. Scrum, TDD, BDD, etc). 5+ Scripting Experience with PowerShell, BASH, and JavaScripting. 4+ years of hands-on experience with implementation, configuration and support of Oracle HCM/ PeopleSoft, or WorkDay SaaS Tenant Management. Must have one of the following Cloud Integration engineering skills (REST API, SOAP, Webservice's). A Minimum 3 years' experience with full Lifecyle HCM implementation or upgrade experience - Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, UNIX environment including, Shell Scripts, SQL, XML and encryption technologies. Strong experience with collaboration team tools: teleconference, video conference, shared online work spaces. Excellent working knowledge of software such as MS Office, Visio, Access, SFA, Splunk, WorkDay, Oracle HCM, BI Publisher, MicroStrategy. Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Security+ are highly valued. Certification(s) in Cloud technologies such as Azure, Oracle Cloud, IBM, AWS or GCP highly
