TechFlow requires three (3) Systems Engineers to support the design, build, and manage of a hybrid multi-cloud environment for data collection, analysis, and collaboration efforts. This includes assisting with transition from the current stand-alone system to possibly the cloud environment, which involves data and application migration as well as Operations and Maintenance (O&M). The applications may be a mix of COTS, GOTS, and custom-built. Key Responsibilities: Work with a variety of individuals, however, priorities will be managed by the project manager (PM). Support new and existing IT infrastructure and applications. Identify, document, and communicate risks and mitigations across the designed systems. Review new and existing systems to identify gaps and minimize overlaps between systems. Analyze project needs for alternative solutions. Identify needed layers and modules and how they work together for the system. Review program strategies and plans. Identify program inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement and communicate those results to the PM. Design, install, manage, and maintain Windows servers, SCCM, VMWare and the VM environment. Design, install, manage, and maintain system software and related infrastructure to include the Active Directory environment. Manage the operating system lifecycle (to include operating system upgrades, updates, patches, and configuration changes). Manage setting user permissions (including roles). Troubleshoot permission issues. Provide insight and assistance to business model transformation and direction toward business services. Analyze current business needs, capabilities, skills and tools. Provide subject matter expertise to consolidate resources, promote knowledge share and supplement non-core capabilities with enterprise service offerings Document systems. Configure systems. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain historical records by documenting development activities and revisions. Minimum Requirements: Demonstrated experience with in-depth knowledge of server hardware and software technologies Demonstrated 5+ years of technical leadership. Demonstrated experience developing with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc. Demonstrated experience in Service Management, Business Process Engineering, addressing and initiating Policy and Culture Change. Demonstrated experience collecting and defining technical requirements to enable process integrations. Demonstrated experience of the TCP/IP stack and basic networking. Demonstrated experience putting tradecraft and security at the forefront of designs. Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining documentation for all work done. Demonstrated experience communicating written and verbal information to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners. Demonstrated experience with system administration and networking, including Linux, UNIX, and Windows administration. Demonstrated experience with VMware technologies. Demonstrated experience understanding the encryption key management life cycle, (eg, generation, escrow, archive, transport, etc.). Education Requirements: General equivalency guidelines for education, certifications, and experience are provided below; however, these guidelines do not immediately qualify someone at a particular level. Skill levels for an individual are based upon a combination of education, training, and experience, eg someone may have 20 years of professional experience; however, they may only be qualified as Full Performance based upon the expertise needed to perform the work within that category. General professional years of experience may be substituted for specialized years of experience at a ratio of three (3) years of general experience within an occupation for one (1) year of specialized experience. Relevant certifications will be considered equivalent to three (3) months of specialized experience. An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to eighteen (18) months specialized experience. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to three (3) years specialized experience (total equivalency is not cumulative when combined with an Associate's degree). A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to two (2) years specialized experience (up to a total of five (5) years when combined with a Bachelor's). A Doctorate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to two (2) years specialized experience (up to a total of seven (7) years when combined with a Master's and a Bachelor's). Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with poly Desired Qualifications: Bachelors' degree in computer networking, computer science, computer engineering, or other closely related IT discipline or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience as a Systems Architect or Cloud Developer certification. Demonstrated experience administrating or managing Windows 10, Linux Desktop (any flavor), and Windows Server 2016+. Demonstrated experience working with VMware ESXi, Workspace1, NSX, and Horizon. Demonstrated experience with the DevOps cycle and using common DevOps tools.
