Building Futures.JOB SUMMARY:The Manager of Social Work seeks to improve the well-being of our clients by providing direct clinical and case management services including the coordination of community resources. This position is designated as essential based on workplace responsibilities. Essential positions are required to report to work during inclement weather and report to work during emergencies as directed. Licensed Social Worker will supervise the clinical operations of the assigned area. The Manager of Social Work will also be responsible for providing timely, accurate and complete reports on all aspects of their assigned programs required by Sr. Program Manager.Supervisory Responsibility: This position provides direct administrative and functional supervision to a total of up to 8 FTE employees, interns, and volunteers at Dorothy Day and Montgomery County Rapid Re-Housing Program (MC RRH). ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Administrative a. Administrative supervision of case management/social work staff, interns or case management volunteers is the primary responsibility of this position. However, joint coaching and other disciplinary actions may be shared with the Sr. Program Manager as needed.b. Ensure compliance with contracts, agency policies and procedures, accreditation requirements, ethics, best practices and quality standards within the field. c. Assists with hiring of Case Management staff and supervision of student interns as needed. d. Monitors and periodically review client files for completeness and quality of content. e. Responsible for organizing client File Reviews (agency ISR process). f. Creates and maintains case records when providing direct services g. Creates and maintains regular staff supervision schedules and notes. h. Maintains clinical supervision materials for appropriate staff and submits copies of all staff licensing/credentialing information to HR department, HHS Quality Assurance Director and Executive Director. i. Facilitates random client satisfaction surveys for quality assurance and staff supervision. j. Provides case management team oversight, individual and group case consultation,k. Provides crisis intervention assistance to all direct service staff, interns and volunteers. Provide crisis intervention directly to clients as needed. l. Models professional behavior and positive solution focused attitude. m. Completes reports on time and maintains statistical program outcome data on an on-going basis.2. Clinical Duties and Supervision a. Provides at least weekly clinical supervision to licensed Case Management /Social Work Staff. b. Assesses program referrals at time of intake and /assigns to program case managers. c. Reports program vacancies and attends all necessary Coordinated Entry System Meetings/conference calls d. Facilitates Monthly Case Conference Meetings for case management staffe. May carry a caseload, depending on the needs of the program. f. Delivers and coordinates services to individuals and families, as needed. g. Provides individual and group counseling or psychoeducation groups as needed.h. Collaborates with and provides necessary referrals to other disciplines including legal, medical, dental, recreational, educational, vocational, substance abuse and mental health professionals, and other housing or service providers.3. Engages in continuing education activity to maintain licensure. 4. Ensures the active status and appropriate level licenses of staff. 5. Demonstrates commitment to improving client services outcomes and customer satisfaction.RequirementsEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Masters degree in Social Work required. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible 1-on-1 social work caseload experience in clinical and administrative tasks required. Minimum of two-year experience working with individuals who are homeless or mental health or substance abuse issues required. A minimum of two-year experience supervising a case management team and/or intern. For DC LICSW Social Work licensure required. For Maryland Clinical Social Work licensure (LCSW-C) required o Certificate to clinically supervise Social Workers requiredSKILLS and COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms. Ability to respond to and work effectively with stakeholders. Ability to work effectively with clients in a diverse community. Ability to supervise and train employees and foster a cooperative work environment. Ability to gather data, compile and analyze information, and prepare reports.
