Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Project Manager in our Environmental Operations Group based out of our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. This position provides project management and technical oversight for solid waste, dredged material, hazardous waste engineering and operations, activities and services. Supervises project teams, which may include engineers, facility operations and other technical staff as assigned. Minimum Requirements: BS degree from an accredited college or university in a recognized area of engineering, environmental sciences, project management, business/finance or related field, plus four years of applicable engineering, waste industry or environmental site assessment and remediation experience or other related field. Two years of this experience must have included managing solid waste, engineering or other technical staff and multi-disciplinary engineering or operations projects, preferably in Maryland. Candidates may substitute additional experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience to one year of education, for up to four years of the required education. Preferred Qualifications include: Familiarity with compost equipment, operations, sales, along with a Compost Operator Certification is preferred.
