Description Job Description:The Cyber and SIGINT Solutions Operation under the Intelligence Group of Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer with a TS/SCI withA' polygraph clearance for a program in Fort Meade, MD. PROGRAM SUMMARY: The Prototype Development Support (PDS II) program is a TTO-based, LOE program in support of our customer's Operations organization.A' Through new development and rapid prototyping, PDS II looks to help its customer find new and better data sources and tradecraft to answer new and existing intelligence questions to accomplish its mission.A' Working across all areas, using methods that run the gamut from leading edge visualizations, analytic development and new technology research, the PDS II program constantly strives to provide the best solutions for the customer to address their mission needs, all in a fast paced, highly collaborative challenging environment.The position will support the Persona Analysis Office through data analysis, optimization, and potential development and deployment of advanced analytic techniques to enhance the tradecraft of complex data for analysts.A' A' PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide system engineering expertise across a range of discovery L&M efforts including analysis, prototyping development and transiting to Capabilities for productization. The system engineer will work to maintain key partnerships with the corresponding efforts within the Capabilities Directorate. A' Assist with the refinement of individual discovery LM effort ideas and planning for the high level effort requirements and capturing these in Jira. For software efforts, assistA' with high level end-to-end thread planning and/or designs to include appropriate documentation.Create Jira epics for each discovery L&M effort in coordination with effort leads.Ensure that Jira stories for specific tasks that support each Jira epic are created and updated. Repeat for each sprint cycle.Interact with analysts, as required, to identify new analytic requirements.Work with Capabilities to transition verified mission valued prototyped efforts to corporate solutions. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: The candidate must have:At least 18 years of general experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related disciplineAt least ten (10) years of experience in engineering and program processes (CM, QA, risk management, reporting) software development methodologies, planning, designing, and analyzing processing and storage retrieval systems on a mid- to large-scale (eg, ONEROOF - PINWALE, integration programs).A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering may be substituted for four (4) years of general experience. A master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, may be substituted for two (2) years of general experience.Familiarity with software development lifecycle process and development methodologies. Agile development methodology preferred as is open source cross team development methodology.Experience in the requirement analysis, development planning, resource management, test and acceptance criteria developmentExperience with analytical and technical gap analysis and evaluating the integration of new tools, services, and tradecraft for integration into day-to-day workflowsMust have strong communication skills to translate L&M needs into workflows and software development requirements.
