Resurrection-St. Paul School, located in Ellicott City, Maryland seeks a highly skilled individual to serve as the middle school Spanish Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. Resurrection-St. Paul School provides a Catholic education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership, achievement, and service within the church and community. We are a STEM accredited school through Cognia and offer a 1:1 Chromebook program for Grades 1-8. This is an in-person teaching opportunity. Job Responsibilities: Develops lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language Standards) and the Archdiocese of Baltimore Curriculum.Plan and execute an instructional program that upholds the values and ideals of the Catholic Church and the mission of Resurrection-St. Paul School.Meet the needs, interests and abilities of students in accordance with the curriculum. Effective instruction will include differentiated learning.Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times, and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols.Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration to plan, implement and evaluate the instructional program.Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as to enrich and differentiate instructionQualifications:Degree in Education with a English, Literature or similar concentrationMSDE teacher certification in Secondary Education for ELAKnowledge of curriculum, and principles and practices of pedagogyFollows and maintains knowledge of all AOB policies and procedures.Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of Resurrection-St. Paul School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
