Role We're looking for an experienced middleware Integration Engineer capable of contributing across our eLearn and eSign patient education and informed consent web application. EngagedMD supports its customers' success by improving patient experience, reducing practice risks, and freeing up valuable staff time.A' You'll be responsible for our applications middleware layer, including our internal front-end-to-backend API management, as well as integrations with our healthcare partner applications. You'll have a direct impact on the direction and culture of an early stage start-up working to modernize healthcare. You'll begin by working remotely but will have the option to join our Washington, DC office once COVID-related conditions permit. Duties and Responsibilities A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Ownership of our application's API middleware, including new feature development, infrastructure optimization, and the ongoing management of existing API's. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Develop New API Features - delivery of middleware as part of new front-end or back-end features on our application. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Infrastructure Optimization - ensure the appropriate AWS infrastructure is being utilized for API hosting and request processing. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Integrate with new partner applications - Lead the technical implementation of new API integrations with various software companies across the healthcare industry. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Manage Existing Integrations - Ensure existing integrations continue flawlessly by participating in change management testing. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Manage Integration Relationships - Be the primary point of contact for the engineering teams of our partner integrations. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' API Security - Ensure our API endpoints are properly secure and follow industry best practices. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Collaboration - You will work with a team of developers, project manager, and product managers. You'll contribute to all aspects of software delivery including scoping, scripting, testing, scaling, security, deployment, and monitoring.Job Requirements: d testA' Ideal Qualifications A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' 5+ years of software development experience A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Bachelor's degree A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Experience with backend languages including Java, JavaScript, Bash, Shell, and/or Python A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Advanced knowledge of API frameworks, including REST,A' GraphQL, Spring Boot, Django, etc.. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and query optimization A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Experience with strapi and/or other CMS frameworks A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Experience creating highly scalable cloud-based web applications (Caching, Queues, Notifications) A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Experience using modern build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Docker, etc. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Experience with Amazon Web Services, including instance and container management and operational cloud databases A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Comfort with code repository management (GitHub, BitBucket) A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Familiarity with microservice system architecture A' Please note: in order to be considered for this opportunity, please apply on our website at /careers.
