ECS is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Mid-Level) to work in our Fairfax, VA office. We offer highly competitive compensation and benefits to the right person for this key position.This role is a demanding, high-energy position that requires managing innovative solutions to network, hardware, and software challenges. Candidates must be able to provide guidance and hands-on support to teams responsible for designing, developing, installing, maintaining, and documenting the physical and virtual network and infrastructure for multiple enclaves in a hybrid cloud environment. The ideal candidate has a broad and varied technical background; experience with DoD network environments; and the ability to interface with constituents from end-users to executive management. The candidate must be able to take full ownership of tasks and deadlines; work without supervision; commit to high quality results; and assist in the delivery of common-sense technical solutions. Additionally, the candidate must be highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and have well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. This position is responsible for supporting matrixed Enterprise technical project teams, activities, and stakeholders:Directly support a dynamic team that includes network, systems, and security engineers; development teams; and technical leadershipPlan, organize, and direct the completion of small to medium Enterprise projects on time, on budget, and within scopeLead phased project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing activitiesCoordinate all project meetings: create agendas, publish meeting minutes, mitigate risks, and track action items to closureDevelop and maintain project documentation (eg, charters, CONOPS, requirements, design documents, implementation plans, test plans, and schedules)Assign project tasks, track timely task completion, and communicate / mitigate task delaysIdentify and assist in the development and finalization of required project deliverablesSupport development and maintenance of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M)Supporting contract actions and financial tasks as neededCommunicate status and escalate issues to Enterprise Leadership as appropriateRequired Skills:Must be a US CitizenActive Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or higher clearanceBachelor's Degree in a related field (eg, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration / Management)8+ years of experience in Information Technology with increasing project management and leadership responsibilities, including planning, scheduling, and task prioritizationDemonstrated ability to apply an understanding of engineering and systems administration/operations to proactively identify and remediate day-to-day technical and operational challengesProven ability to interact with customer stakeholders, including senior leadershipEnergetic and conscientious self-starter with strong ability to work independently, multi-task, follow directions, and effectively manage timeProactive, organized, and exceptionally detail-orientedExceptional planning, problem-solving, data collection, and analytical skillsAdvanced written and verbal skills; high-level ability to clearly and concisely communicate with peers and executivesA critical thinker with the ability to tackle discrete objectives while keeping focus on the bigger picture / broader strategyAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and O365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TeamsThrives in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines and critical, quick turnaround and ad-hoc tasksFlexible; comfortable with ambiguity, competing priorities, matrixed organizations, and multiple stakeholdersDesired Skills:Active DoD Top Secret clearanceProject Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certificationPrior ScrumMaster experience and/or hands-on knowledge of Agile MethodologyHands-on experience and/or pertinent knowledge of Jira and ConfluenceFundamental knowledge of computer networking, information assurance, and network securityBroad understanding of systems and network engineering tools, techniques, and best practicesCurrent Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level I certification (CCNA Security, Network+) or Level II certification (Security+)Professional attitude and superb client-facing skillsLeadership and strategic skillsA track record of self-improvement and continuous learningAbility to make decisions in matters of significanceECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, veteran status or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
