Building Futures.Job Summary: The Employment Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining positive community partnerships that lead to exposure of the program, job opportunities for participants, and increased enrollment rate. The Employment Marketing Manager also oversees the Life Long Learners program for senior participants and coordinates Job Club activities, as well as manages a caseload and provides employment services to program participants in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Supervisory Responsibility: 5 FTE & PTE Job Coaches Essential Job Duties: Marketing: A cents € cents Networks with the local business community to create partnerships that lead to opportunities such as jobs for program participants, which closely match their capabilities, skills and knowledge base. A cents € cents Attends various conferences and fairs to promote the program, services available and increase enrollment. A cents € cents Researches target markets to find new prospects, expansion opportunities, etc. A cents € cents Studies industry articles, blogs, and statistics to develop strategies to market and support the program within the industry. A cents € cents Conducts customer service reviews and surveys annually. Supervision: A cents € cents Directly oversees the Life Long Learners program to include managing the program calendar, community-based activities, schedules, PCP meetings, etc.A cents € cents Coordinates Job Club activities, such as virtual activities, lesson plans, community explorations, etc. A cents € cents Provides supervision to the Job Coaches, which includes performance evaluation, coaching, and employee discipline as well as setting standards for client service. A cents € cents Maintains quality program practices and ensures all internal and Policy on Reportable Incidents and Investigations (PORI) policies and procedures are followed in accordance with the incident reporting process. A cents € cents Act as Acting Program Manager in the absence of the Program Manager. A cents € cents Serve as proxy for program Employment Specialist in cases of emergency. Education and Experience Qualifications Required: Education: A cents € cents Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 60 college credits preferred. Experience: A cents € cents Must have at least one year of experience with case management of consumers with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A cents € cents At least two years of experience in behavior management, crisis intervention, and hands off problem-solving required. A cents € cents Two years of business networking experience required, preferably with disability and work force trends. A cents € cents Experience working for a disability service provider and knowledge of programs such as the Community Pathways Waiver, Community Services Waiver, Ticket-to-Work, Social Security Administration work incentive program, NISH, Customized Employment, etc. a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A cents € cents Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language. A cents € cents Ability to demonstrate professionalism and exhibit composure in all communications. A cents € cents Ability to effectively promote and increase participation of the program. A cents € cents Ability to exhibit good judgment and sound reasoning. A cents € cents Be flexible and possess strong problem-solving skills as these are necessary for successfully accomplishing program outcomes. A cents € cents Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. A cents € cents Proficient with MS Office software package and web browsing. A cents € cents Must be able to attend evening meetings and events outside if the normal working hours.
