Summary

This is a bargaining unit position.
This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP).

This position is located at the Small Business Administration, Office of Investment and Innovation in Washington, D.C. Administer the liquidation of Small Business Investment Companies, including Debenture or Participating Security Small Business Investment Companies and Specialized Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) which are declared to be "in liquidation" status.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

*The independent analysis of financial statements, books and records, examination, and investigation reports covering the operations, investments and practices of SBICs assigned to him/her.
*Review complex financial statements of both the SBIC and its portfolio of assets to determine financial condition.
*Problem solving decisions and recommendations for final action to be taken by the Agency.

Qualifications

GS-13

Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that includes evaluating and recommending investment and credit decisions for non-real estate based investments in and/or loans to businesses with more than $5 million in annual revenue.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled.

All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 03/04/2021.
