Job Title: Risk Management - Corporate Claims ManagerJob Code: ORMAReports To: Vice President-Risk ManagementFLSA Status: Exempt Summary: The primary role of the Claims Manager is to oversee the company's General Liability, Workers Compensation, Auto Liability, and Property claims. The position includes the handling of various Third Party Administrators (TPAs) under contract with Bowlero Corporation, and to help facilitate the investigation of all claims. The Corporate Claims Manager also provides alerts to Management on cases with significant financial impact, produces reports and analysis using Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS), and supports other areas in Risk Management such as back-up on the customer incident program and supporting company-wide and department specific initiatives. Manage assigned projects in support of the overall Risk Management objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.Oversee the handling of all aspects of the General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Auto Liability and Property claim process assigned to the Insurance Carrier/TPA across multiple jurisdictions including, but not limited to, claim reporting, medical management, reserving, communication, documentation, litigation, negotiations, settlement, return to work, etc.Serve as the primary claims management contact for adjusters, lawyers and TPAs. Be the key contact with TPAs in managing insurance claims, some of which are in litigation. Supervise the activities of the various TPA adjusters to ensure proper claim handling and control of litigation expense.Work with the assigned attorneys to provide direction on the best case resolution.Oversee the collection of discovery and other documents for claims and lawsuits.Collaborates with internal HR / legal department to process, pay and resolve complex and/or high-exposure insurance claims.Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and court trials.Develops and monitors consistency in procedural matters of claims handling process.Conduct claims reviews on a quarterly basis with the TPA adjusters to ensure the claims are progressing according to our standards. Check the adjuster files for proper evidence and a plan for case conclusion. Identify cases that should settle and work with the adjuster to settle at the earliest opportunity.Provide reports and analysis of the claim data in support of safety programs. Be familiar with various TPA RMIS and internal RMIS to provide claim information as needed.Be responsible for data integrity as the various TPA systems consolidate their data into our internal RMIS (Origami).Process and handle to conclusion first party property claims, including subrogation recovery, and minor customer claims.Work with our outsourced actuary to provide actuarial data and/or analysis as requested.Support the Vice President of Risk Management with various projects, tasks, and special assignment.Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.Be responsible for updating the OSHA Plan on Bowlero Corporation intranet, and providing required documents to centers, so they will be OSHA compliant.Complete the OSHA "Survey of Occupational Injury" for all centers that are required to report.Manage assigned projects with little supervision. Ability to use logic and analytics to successfully complete project assignments.Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: n/a QUALIFICATIONS: At least 5 - 7 years of experience in claims management, ideally with prior brokerage, insurer, or corporate risk management experience.Experience in multi-line adjusting Good understanding of legal proceedings and ability to work with attorneys.Effective negotiation skillsRisk Management and mitigation skills.Must be analytical and have strong computer skills to effectively utilize all Bowlero Corporation's management systems.A self-starter who is organized and will display good communication skills, both verbal and written. Have the ability to understand written and oral communications and interpret abstract information.Proficient in Microsoft applicationsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree required. Juris Doctorate degree preferred. Insurance designation(s) preferred - AIC, CPCU, ARM, CIC, INS, WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment where you will walk, bend and stand for periods of time.
