A' The Senior Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing technical and programmatic oversight of the project and will provide insight to the Project Lead regarding project progress and risks.A' This position will support the development, integration, testing and deployment of complete multi-modal sensor systems that will be used to monitor events in variable environments.A' Technical responsibilities will include tasks, but not limited to the following: * Provide engineering expertise as part of a cross-functional team * Advise the customer on the development process for specialized technology * Provide technical oversightA' for the project lead * Develop and maintain a master schedule, taking into account timelines, interdependencies and risks (schedule, cost, capability, employment, ect ) * Advise the the project lead on technical risk mitigation strategies * Facilitate TEMs; manage TEM deliverablesA' * Technical subcomponentA' development progress and assessment * Assess technologies and components, and track selection and development to assure they meet requirements for employment * Provide acquisition support Project management responsibilities will include tasks, but not limited to the following: * Managing the daily operations, immediate execution and staff supervision and guidance of a large, multi-disciplinary Task Order * Receive, document and execute customer requirements * Track, report and deliver Task Order deliverables * Identify technical, cost, schedule and performance risks early and develop risk mitigation plans * Develop request for proposals (RFPs) * Integrate subcontractors into technical team * Inform Program Manager of resource requirements * Ensure success of staff members through satisfaction of immediate professional needs, guidance and effective performance reviews *Qualifications* A' Bachelors Degree in physics, electrical engineering or aerospace engineering.A' Additional required qualifications include: * A minimum of five (5) years experience supporting the DoD/Intelligence Community * Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Aerspace Engineering. * A minimum of ten (10) years engineering experience * A minimum of four (4) years of project management experience * Active TS/SCI with the ability and willingness to pass the customer's CI Polygraph * An understanding of sensor metrics data * Excellent written and oral communication skills * A demonstrated knowledge in tools and languages such as STK/SIMDIS/Matlab/Python * An understanding of RF propagation theory with the ability to put together link budgets * An understanding of EO/IR and other phenomenological sensors and respective propagation * Experience with resource, reporting , project tracking and collaboration tools, such as SharePoint and Microsoft Project * Ability to work independently * Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and make assessments * Ability to articulate technical recommendations to the customer SAIC is a premier technology integrator solving our nation's modernization and readiness challenges.
