Summary

This position is located in the United States Mint, Office of Manufacturing, Division of Production Planning and Coin Distribution. The incumbent assists with the flow of information between the business and Information Technology (IT) staff in a fast-paced, fluid and changing environment.

As a Lead Business Analyst, you will:
  • Be the primary business liaison between specific business channels and IT and have regular interaction between all levels of the business and IT community;
  • Coordinate meetings between business units and IT units and work with IT technical units in providing schedules, status and implementation strategies;
  • Actively participate in the IT Steering Committee to help prioritize agency IT projects; Ensure IT activities are aligned with business unit goals;
  • Support project management and portfolio management protocols;
  • Work with all Departments and units to develop enterprise project schedules incorporating the business and IT components of projects;
  • Communicate enterprise project timelines, risks and mitigation strategies to the Department Head and the enterprise strategic planning unit
  • Work with management to organize and present information to senior managers and executive team Coordinate with outside vendors to organize demonstrations and trials
  • Provide guidance and support to other Business Analysts and Technical Writers
  • Be the primary business coordination point for the execution of multiple, complex IT business initiatives;
  • Be the primary business project lead

The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes:
  • Using an Enterprise Resource Management system to accurately manage and track inventory and resolve discrepancies, AND
  • Writing inventory reports and procedures, AND
  • Providing oversight of Inventory related financial transactions.


In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
