Summary

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25 . This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND/ACofS, G4 INTEL MATERIEL ACTIVITYDISTRIBUTION DIVISION FORT BELVOIR, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical expert and lead a projects or program involving logistics programs.
  • Plans work to be accomplished, sets priorities, schedule, assigns tasks to subordinates based on capabilities, and sets performance standards.
  • Serve as a technical expert in support of logistics business systems processes.
  • Develops and implements concepts, policies, and procedures to identify critical equipment shortages in units and the strategies to alleviate these shortages.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • TDY travel may be required at 25% or less of the time.
  • All INSCOM staff may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience in coordinating, developing, implementing, and execution of DA and DoD policies, regulations, methods and procedures relating to logistics operations and the ability to integrate supply operations with the other logistics disciplines into a cohesive and comprehensive logistics sustainment plan for an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
