The IT Project Manager (SYSADMIN) position resides in the Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices (DO), Under Secretary, Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence (TFI), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Sanctions Support Division (SSD).

Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Oversee and develop office automation strategies for the effective administration and enforcement of economic sanctions programs, with a focus on infrastructure, predominantly the implementation of migration to cloud-based network/computing/storage/series/software and development of operating procedures focusing on DevOps principles.
- Use project management best practices in ensuring software/hardware compliance, software/hardware configuration management, and software/hardware evaluation/recommendations.
- Serve as point of contact between OFAC users, Treasury DO's Technology Division, and Treasury contract officers to troubleshoot problems and determine the most appropriate and expeditious solutions.
- Troubleshoot system and procedural problems, and provides support to infrastructure supporting OFAC information systems.
- Identify, recommend, and/or develop methods of reducing costs and improving IT infrastructure performance.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
- Experience with IT Service transformation projects within a company or government agency. Examples of this experience may include but is not limited to participating in projects that changed a technology or infrastructure of an organization i.e.: transitioning to a different technology, email platform, migrating to the cloud, service-izing functionality such as infrastructure, business process workflow or the way documents were managed, searched, or leveraged. AND
- Participating in projects or teams, including serving as the liaison to obtain information and providing recommendations to the senior leaders or other interested parties. An example of this experience may include but is not limited to introducing functionality that automates a multi-step office work flow. AND
- Reviewing and tracking resources and labor hours on projects, including project deliverable tracking and reviews, resource scheduling and resolving schedule conflicts. An example of this experience may include but is not limited to introducing functionality that automates a multi-step office work flow and articulating how resources were managed in said project(s).

Specialized experience for the GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
- Experience with IT Service transformation projects within a company or government agency. Examples of this experience may include but is not limited to participating in projects that changed a technology or infrastructure of an organization i.e.: transitioning to a different database, email platform, migrating to the cloud, service-izing functionality such as the way documents were managed, searched, or leveraged. AND
- Participating in projects or teams which may include serving as the liaison to obtain information and providing recommendations to the senior leaders or other interested parties. An example of this experience my include but is not limited to introducing functionality that automates a multi-step office work flow.

In addition to meeting Specialized Experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
