Position: Developer III Position Summary: The successful candidate will support the client's C2 Systems Section. The mission of the C2 Systems Section is to develop, operate, and maintain enterprise tools and systems to provide situational awareness of network health, vulnerabilities, threats, and events within the Government Enterprise Network (GEN) and to operate and enhance enterprise tools enabling IT service support and operational management. C2 Systems support includes comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of United States Marine Corp. (USMC) enterprise and information systems, both unclassified and classified, deployed in support of the C2 Systems Section mission. Clearance Requirement: Active DoD Minimum Secret DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the currently deployed system, as well as full life cycle development activities ranging from development of minor enhancements to development of major version releases and revisions. The candidate will develop Web-based solutions and applications in a multi-tiered, highly available, enterprise environment utilizing the following: * Microsoft C# * Microsoft MVC * Microsoft Visual Studio * HTML 5 * CSS3 * Lambda Expressions * Microsoft .Net Entity Framework * Microsoft TSQL Server * Team Foundation * JavaScript The candidate will develop reports in both the web application front-end and back-end database technologies. The candidate will provide capabilities to support creating custom workflows, forms, and web applications. Support tasks include aspects of user support, such as account and access management, incident response, and responding to informational requests. The candidate will be responsible for developing custom designs, visual layouts, and graphic art for the graphical user interfaces of systems supported by C2 Systems Section. The objective of this task is to improve the usability and efficacy of C2 systems user interfaces and reports. This support includes designing the layout and data visualization aspects of reports generated by the C2 Systems Section. The environment includes C#. and requires capabilities in designing, creating, and implementing cascading style sheets for web applications is also required. COMPETENCIES: * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to follow policies and procedures * Ability to communicate in a clear speaking voice as well as the ability to respond clearly to questions * Aptitude to address negative situations and resolve them in a positive manner.Education and Certification Requirements: IAT 2 (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP) Background and Experience: * At least 5 years of experience in developing C#,, SQL Server, and Visual Studio * At least 5 years demonstrated experience operating and maintaining deployed systems for full life cycle development activities and experience directing the development of Web-based solutions using development software used in the environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable.
