POSITION OVERVIEW A Political/Military Analyst conducts all-source analytic production on foreign military, political, and security-related issues including, but not limited to, regional military capabilities, strategy, doctrine, operations, leadership intentions and decision-making, military leadership, defense and security policies, irregular warfare, civil-military relations. and defense relations with the US and other countries. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Provide tailored, all-source analysis support in response to Requests for Information or any other request/tasking both external and internal that support Information Operations. Products include Intelligence Preparation of the Environment, Information Operations Note, White Papers, Weekly Information Operations Highlights, Information Operations Intelligence Integration, Information Operations Intelligence Integration Country Overviews, briefings to support working groups, training, conferences and seminars (or other events), and other products or briefs requested by the Government. Maintain liaison with counterparts throughout the Joint and National Intelligence community and in other agencies and organizations. Maintain situational awareness of diplomatic, military, social, economic, intelligence, infrastructure, scientific, and technical developments within assigned area/team in order to produce effective, time- sensitive analysis and targeting. Utilize tools, databases, and websites to collect and analyze data and information. Tools include Analyst Notebook, Palantir, classified databases, Intelink, Open Source Information System, and any tool or database required by the Government Provide Intelligence Support to Information Operations support for briefings, working groups, and seminars as directed by the Government. Support will include oral and written presentation and use of multimedia tools. Produce Intelligence support to the Information Operations targeting products in response to Requests for Information or any other request/tasking both external and internal. Products include Target Support Folders, Behavioral Influence Analysis Paper, Cultural Influence Analysis Paper, Information Operations Fissures Paper, and any other named product requested by the Government JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Experience with using complex analytic methodologies, such as structured analytic techniques or alternative approaches, to examine biases, assumptions, and theories to eliminate uncertainty, strengthen analytic arguments, and mitigate surprise in support of Information Operations. Experience with intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, to include but not limited to, technical sensors/ platforms and human intelligence sources related to the position. Familiar with reviewing, making recommendations to, and supporting the development of doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF) change recommendations, requirements, concept development, and doctrine, in accordance with all published and verbal regulations, guidance, and policy Ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced with the ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines. Demonstrated capability to participate in, and contribute to, planning teams, working groups, and events; write reports and give briefs; coordinate and synchronize Information Operations related capabilities and collaborate with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution. Experience developing concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence and leading teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems. Knowledgeable in the application of Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD classification guidelines and procedures. Education Bachelor's degree in a related area from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education. Experience At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the position with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
